Heather Gibson-Lusk is a classically trained artist who creates exquisite miniature oil paintings. Whether painting the portrait of a bantan rooster in a landscape or a still life of blueberries resting on an antique spoon with a honeybee searching for nector, the viewer is always engaged by the personality that composed these intriguing works. There is a delicate sensitivity to detail and a thoughtful consideration to the specific balance of elements in her paintings.
Heather Gibson-Lusk was encouraged to paint at a young age and was awarded a full scholarship to study art at the Lyme Academy of fine Arts, Old Lyme, CT. She exhibits regularly in juried shows and has taught art classes herself believing in the importance of passing on her knowledge of painting in a classical style to the next generation.
